“Traci’s ‘Death by Chocolate’ Brownies”

My friend, Trace, sent me a message pretty late one night asking what she should do about the terrible cravings she was having- I blame it on being a woman. We need chocolate in our lives, it just makes us better people!!! The sooner men learn this, the better.

With Valentines day just around the corner, I knew I had to come up with something to suit everyone who is on a diet. Hence the 30 calorie ‘death by chocolate’ protein brownies were born. I topped these brownies with a chocolate spread that I made, which will add another 11 calories to these beauts…but when they still come in at just over 40 calories a brownie, I would say, we have ourselves a winner!!!

Traci’s ‘Death by Chocolate’ Brownies

  • Cook Time: 30 Minutes

Ingredients

  • ½ cup oat flour
  • 1 scoop chocolate whey protein
  • 1 heaped TBS cocoa
  • ½ tsp stevia
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp liquid sweetener, optional
  • 2 egg whites
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • ¾ cup grated pumpkin
  • ½ sugar free chocolate bar, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180’ and spray a small baking tray with some cooking spray.

  2. Add the dry ingredients to a bowl and mix together.

  3. Add the egg whites, liquid sweetener, water and vanilla essence to a blender and blend for at least 30 seconds.

  4. Pour into the dry ingredients. Add the pumpkin and chocolate and fold the ingredients into each other, until just mixed.

  5. Bake for 30 minutes.
