January is generally somewhat depressing. Holidays are coming to an end. Work is starting up again. Money is tight and fitness levels are low. February then comes around and there’s something to be excited about…am I right??!!
The only issue is this…Valentine’s Day usually results in chocolate…January was a mere few days ago and in January I had decided that I would promise myself that I would eat healthy…now what? Now all I see in the shops are red chocolate hearts and adverts for lavish dinners and decadent desserts…
Well, never fear, Jo is here. (I’m literally shaking my head and laughing as I type this. I grew up wanting to be a superhero. I never thought that baking would be my super-power, BUT I’ll take it)
Anyway, I’m here to tell you that you DON’T have to fret. I’ve come up with a few healthy Valentine’s day inspired treats, that are sure to curb any advert induced cravings…I’ll be sharing those recipes this month, so keep your eyes peeled for those.
Also- there are SO many healthy ‘store bought’ chocolates out there- I’ve literally searched through all of them. I’ve discovered the most ‘macro’ friendly chocolate and the most ‘micro’ friendly chocolate are…
- The Most macro friendly chocolate is Caring Candies milk chocolate. Coming in at a mere 111 calories. Can you believe it? Super low in carbs as well, making it the perfect chocolate for those Banting or following a ketogenic diet.
- The Most micro friendly chocolate (that is actually edible, hahaha) would have to be Soaring free Superfoods Superherb raw chocolate, that contains over 35 superfoods!
Yours in peanut butter
Jo
